The activities organized by the Linnean Centre in the Uppsala botanical garden to celebrate the Fascination of Plants Day attracted plenty of curious visitors of different ages. Researchers and students in our experimental workshop were busy the whole day with hand-on demonstrations and questions about plants and plant science from enthusiastic kids, parents and grandparents.

At the same time, researchers from the Linnean Centre gave a series of popular science lectures to an appreciative audience in a near-by lecture hall.

In summary, the activities really contributed to the aim of the day as formulated by the European Plant Science Organisation (EPSO) which was to boost the interest for plants and plant science in society.

The Linnean Centre would like to thank the botanical garden, contributing researchers and students from the Centre and all visitors for making the day into a memorable event!
